Welcome to the Mornington Life Saving Club's (MLSC) Internet site - launched in January 2007. We are excited about our new online presence which allows us to provide up to date information to all our members, prospective members and the greater Mornington Peninsula community. In viewing this site, we do ask that you be patient. Some web pages can take up to 8 seconds to load, as we are displaying complex information and linking to several external sites - to ultimately save you from hunting around for information on the Internet.
We would like to welcome all old members and new members for season 2007-2008. The club has some exciting plans for the future with additions to our clubrooms currently in the planning stages. Our Nipper program has strong attendances at our training sessions held on Sunday mornings from 10am-12pm. Our surfboat crews are training and developing into a successful component of the club. Senior training is held on Tuesday and Thursday evenings from 6:00pm.
The Mornington LSC is located on Mills Beach, 1 km north of the jetty. Schnapper Point jetty at Mornington was built in the 1850s and enjoyed a busy period in the days of the paddle steamers as they brought to shore many holiday makers. Mornington has a number of significant historical buildings and structures remaining from the early period of white settlement.
