The primary mission of the Mornington Life Saving Club is to provide a safe and enjoyable beach/bayside experience for all visitors to our beach. The volunteer lifeguards at the club provide beach patrols on weekends and public holidays.  As a patrolling member of  Mornington Life Saving Club you will play an important role in the provision of this vital community service.

Lifesaving is able to offer all volunteers:

• water safety
• sport
• recreation; and
• social opportunities

As a member of the Mornington Life Saving Club you will have access to all club facilities and equipment. The only requirement is that all members wear a club cap when using equipment in the water so that we can recognise them as members. All facilities and equipment should be treated with respect and used in an appropriate manner.

There are no family concessions available. Payment can be made by cash or cheque made payable to the Mornington Life Saving Club. Membership forms must be filled out at the start of each new season.

As we are a voluntary organisation and have to fundraise throughout the season, we rely on the involvement and support of our members to ensure the ongoing success of the club. This may mean participating in any of the following areas:

• Life Saving Patrols – become a vital part of the community by completing your life saving award and volunteering over the summer season. Full training is provided. It can be very rewarding and satisfying as well as a useful qualification for use in everyday life.
• Nipper Training – become a Junior age group trainer, coaches assistant, carnival official. Full training is provided.
• Kiosk assistance – help out in the Kiosk on our busy weekends or weekdays over the summer. Every little bit helps.
• Building Maintenance – there are always things to be done, whether it is cleaning or repairs and maintenance.

Fundraising/Social Functions – we are always looking for new ways to incorporate a bit of fun into the hard work everyone puts in over the year.
