Competition Requirements for Members

All members wishing to compete at any competition must be

   1. A financial member of the club

   2. completed assessment required for patrol

   3. completed the required patrol hour obligations of 16 hours patrol


Financial

Completed and signed the membership forms and paid the required fees for the 2007/2008 season by 31st December.


Proficient

All competitors must have completed their proficiency assessment during the 2007/2008 season (prior to the closing date of entries). Surf Rescue Certificate holders who gained their Bronze Medallion after the closing date for entries are still eligible to compete.


Patrol Hour Obligations

Existing Award Members

To compete in either the Senior or Masters Victorian Championship or the Surf Life Saving Australia Championships competitors must be proficient and have completed 16 hours of patrol from January 1, 2007 to December 31, 2007.

If a member does not requalify their award for a number of seasons and wishes to return to competition, they are still required to complete 16 hours of patrol during the previous calendar year.

New Award Members

If a new award is obtained prior to November 30 then 6 hours of patrol must be completed prior to December 31.

If a new award is obtained between December 1 and 31 then 4 hours of patrol must be completed by December 31.

If a new award is obtained after January 1 then 4 hours of patrol must be completed by the close of entries of the relevant event.
